As we all know, it's a very long season...and crazy things happen from week to week. Whether it be a bad matchup, an injury to a key player, or a hot opponent....saving good teams is just not the way to go. It's called a suicide pool for a reason. You pick on a week by week basis...the name of the game is to survive. Don't be so preoccupied and worried that you might not have team "A" for later in the season. If you don't GET there, you won't even have a reason to worry about not having said team. Worry about those later weeks as they come.

My two cents.

Re: 2009 Fantasy Rankings - Week 6 QBs

We shall see...

Re: 2009 Fantasy Rankings - Week 6 QBs

my Qb's are warner flacco and gerrard
my WR's are santonio holmes, hakeem nicks, maclin, eddie royal and desean jackson

RB jones drew, and ahmed bradshaw

my question is should i drop a reciever and pick up sammy morris or drop ahmed for sammy morris, the other option i have is addai but addai is coming up on a bye

Re: 2009 Fantasy Rankings - Week 5 QBs

If it's Flacco for Brees straight up, then yes, I'd absolutely veto it.

Re: 2009 Fantasy Rankings - Week 5 QBs

Here's one for you. On what planet is a trade involving Flacco for Brees accepted if you aren't the team getting Brees? If your league had a veto option and the team with Brees was 1-3 due to injuries(and not actually Brees' production slump the last two weeks) and the team with Flacco was 3-1 and rolling, and you weren't the team with Flacco, wouldn't you veto the trade?

Re: 2009 Fantasy Rankings - Week 5 WRs

I'd put them in this order after White and Smith:

1. Welker
2. Massaquoi
3. Washington

If Denver's defense gets pressure on New England, Brady will strike quickly to Welker all afternoon

With Braylon gone, Massaquoi becomes a top target on the team. The Bills are also hurting at the CB position (McKelvin on IR).

Washington has a tough match-up b/c the Colts cover 2 is better suited to stop the pass

Re: 2009 Fantasy Rankings - Week 5 WRs

Okay this sounds excessive, but in a PPR format league with flex, I've got Roddy White, Carolina's Steve Smith, Mohammed Massaquoi, Nate Washington, and Wes Welker in my Week 5 play. Wondering what the ideal play here is. Right now I'm looking at Roddy White, Steve Smith and debating a third play with Wes Welker looking like he'll get the most targets ahead of Massaquoi and Washington. What do you guys think?

Re: 2009 NFL Suicide Pool Pick - Week 4

Thank for the tip.
I am a rookie, but made it to week 4.
I'm routing for San Francisco.

Re: 2009 NFL Suicide Pool Pick - Week 4

Thanks for the tip.
I have no idea what I am doing, but I made it to week for.
I'm going to pick San Francisco this week.
Thanks

Re: 2009 Fantasy Rankings - Week 3 QBs

Three can already be eliminated starting w/ Tomlinson. He has been largely ineffective even while healthy and the Dolphins are strong against the run; I like Benson but the Steelers, even without Palumalu, are still a top run defense. So it comes down to Jackson and McGahee b/c Brown is an obvious starter. The Chargers run D is horrible minus DT Jamal Williams and Brown is the best in the business at running the Wild Cat, which is something we'll see a lot of on Sunday.

Of the two remaining, I'd go w/ Jackson b/c he's the primary back and will probably have a lot of receptions in addition to rushing yards as the Bills could be in pass mode vs. the Saints. McGahee's likely to receive 10-12 touches and you hope he gets into the end zone on one of them.

I'd probably play the hot hand and go w/ Smith this week in Tampa. I think the Giants will probably run the ball a lot on Sunday but Smith should get between 5-7 catches. The Broncos pass offense is nothing to write home about and the Raiders have some solid guys in the secondary...

Re: 2009 Fantasy Rankings - Week 3 QBs

Hello Pro Football 101, just like my Buffalo Bills I am back. I am salivating in the glory of the Bills finally returning to the big dance we call a Superbowl. This time, TO will not let us lose. As for TO, looks like Romeo Romo is missing you in Dallas right about now. Better yet, I think Jerry is kickin himself in the ass for not hanging on to you. Looks like Giant fans were able to get their hands on all those seats being passed out as a result of not selling enough tickets; did you see all those jerseys when the field goal went through?. Like the Great One said, They don't have a TO problem in Dallas, they have a TR problem.
Now onto what I really want to talk about....Eli Manning. I don't know if we have ever seen a better quarterback than this guy-before you guys get bent out of hell- Eli Manning single handedly made the biggest, most memorable play in the the biggest, most memorable Superbowl, against the best team of all time. Eli Manning is cold blooded; Eli Manning is as clutch as anyone to ever touch the ball. Tom Brady can't throw unless he is standing like a statue for 4 seconds. Eli can make more plays with his feet than Michael Vick ever dreamed. Eli made Plaxico a star is and now doing the same for Steve Smith. I needed to find a receiver in fantasy, and Eli guided the way... Sunday night, we saw greatness at work... diving forward for a couple extra yards only to watch the clock tick down from his stomach before calling a timeout was probably the best thing I have ever seen a quarterback do. I love Eli Manning, and if the media would get their head out Brett Farve's ass, then they would realize his greatness too...
Hey pro football 101, I got couple quick questions and pleas for advice in fantasy. Which of these 2 running backs would you start this week...LT, Fred Jackson, Mcgahee, Ronnie Brown, or Cedric Benson???? And would you bench Eddy Royal for the Giants Steve Smith???
Thank you, and always remember
Getcha Popcorn Ready

Re: Fantasy Football

Hey Guys, Just wondering If you guys could help me out on who to start off for week 2..on a personal note. Does he care about winning? Probably not. Does he care about TDS, you bet. Someone on the Vikings is bound to benefit.
